Greengold  Avocado
Persea americana x ‘Greengold’
 
Introduced by the Haleakala Branch Station of Hawaii in 1982, 
the Greengold avocado is an offspring of Kona Sharwil.  
the flesh of Greengold is rich and creamy, it has a small seed.
The skin is easy to peel. The tree is medium sized and upright with an “A” type flower. 
Greengold is a high quality, Sharwil-like avocado and the tree will produce well in cooler areas where the Sharwil “B” type is not a good producer.
'Greengold' has a distinct nutty flavor and the oil content is greater than 20 percent. Texture of the flesh is smooth and fiberless.
