Introduced as budwood in 1914 by E. E. Knight of Yorba Linda California from Guatemala. 
Queen fruits are normally larger than 1.5 pounds with small seed and Exellent flavor. 
A quote from California Avocado Society 1928 Yearbook: “A grand fruit: pleases everyone who ever cuts in under its rough exterior, and beholds its beautiful interior.”
