Sir Prize Avocado

Sir Prize Avocado

Persea americana x ‘Sir Prize’

Sir-Prize is a newer avocado variety developed through a University of California breeding program. It is considered a “grandchild” of Hass and produces attractive, Hass type fruit that matures earlier in the season and sizes larger. Sir Prize is more cold tolerant than many commercial varieties and performs well in cooler growing areas. The tree is vigorous, upright, and highly productive, with excellent potential for consistent yields. Fruit ripens to a rich, creamy texture with outstanding eating quality.
